Case Study 1: Graham Residence

When G.J. Graham purchased an older home in Arlington in 2004, she decided to do major renovation before moving in. Among other projects, she wanted to install new windows and doors throughout, including replacing some single-width doors with French doors.

After visiting a variety of window and door companies in the local area and on the Internet, she decided to move forward with Hodges. “There were other companies that were cheaper, but I found the people at Hodges very knowledgeable, flexible, and easy to work with. They gave me everything I was looking for, including lots of options and ideas for function, appearance and energy efficiency.”

One of the most unusual aspects of the project was a custom front door Ms. Graham required. “The front door was the really fun part for me, and I wanted to incorporate my own design in the beveled glass,” she recalls. “As we went back and forth a few times refining the plan, Hodges was very patient with the various changes. When the installation was complete, it looked even better than I’d envisioned. I was thrilled.”

Ms. Graham was also impressed by the level of service and reliability of the entire Hodges installation crew, led by Chris Spicer. “Everyone showed up to work when they were supposed to, and when I had questions along the way, they were very responsive. They made sure that everything went smoothly and that the work was done to my satisfaction.”

Ms. Graham looks forward to doing her next project with Hodges. “I wouldn’t deal with anyone else,” she observes. “Working with them, I know I can get anything I want, and my imagination can run wild.”
